The usages I know are usually in more specific context at the moment, like
polling for specific events. I haven't put the effort yet to do full fledged
UI on top of it. In some case the format may not be optimal; too little or
too much information per request.

So it definitely needs some love at the moment, the interface is not set in
stone but we definitely need feedback to improve it.
