[Buildbot-devel] JSON widgets

My company is using many different buildbot instances to do a variety of continuous integration tasks around the company.
We're hoping to try and pull all the information together into one location, and I was reviewing the JSON/help page to see what I can use to pull the data.

Now before I go ahead and start writing my own UI widgets, has anyone written any already that I can use as a base?
Is the JSON interface used widely at all?
