Debian jessie is currently shipping Buildbot 0.8.9. If you are upgrading from squeeze (Buildbot 0.7.12), the package has been split into a buildbot master package, and buildbot-slave, and so there are separate /etc/default/buildbot and /etc/default/buildslave configuration files now.
