[Buildbot-devel] GSoC idea discussion "Replace try with a client for the force scheduler"

Hi everyone,

I am pleased to be back with buildbot community. This year, I will be proposing for the idea of replacing the try client with a new client which will use web interface to transfer the .diff patchs to Force Scheduler and then communicate the build results back to the web client.
I had a brief discussion over this idea with Dustin on #buildbot last month and what I understood from that is that we need to add support for Force Scheduler in www/ using rest calls.

I have few queries regarding the project:

1. Right now, try schedulers are used to test the patches. If we are to add support of patches in force scheduler, then is try scheduler gonna take help from try scheduler to try a patch or will it be doing the try task on it's own? Is it like force scheduler will be acting as an interface b/w try scheduler and www/ ?

2. I read in the requirements of the project that the support for DVCS is required and the client will send a repository in that case. How can we add the support to send repository in web client and process it in force scheduler ?
