[Buildbot-devel] [Announcment] Buildbot 0.8.12 is released

Hi,

I am pleased to announce that the Buildbot v0.8.12 is released.  (It should
have been 0.8.11, but I made a mistake and had to bump the version.)

This release is mostly about polishing the existing functionality (git, Gerrit,
GitHub) and a couple of things aimed to smoothen up migration to Buildbot
v0.9.0 when the latter is released:

* deprecation of 'category' builder parameter (in favour of 'tags')
* plugins -- a way to simplify configuration of a Buildbot instance and to make
  it possible to use components that live outside of Buildbot source tree
