[Buildbot-devel] Mavericks versus Buildbot

I have a Buildbot slave running on OS X 10.9, and the aggressive power management tends to put the machine to sleep in the middle of a build. I don't mind if it doesn't start a build immediately, but I guess it is waking up from its "power nap", reconnecting to the master, starting a build, then going to sleep. Then the connection times out, and the build is retried. The Buildbot master side is handling this as well as it can, but I'd like to fix the slave behavior.

Does anyone have any suggestions besides using pmset to turn on 'ttyskeepawake', and changing the 'using PTY' setting in Buildbot? I'm about to try that when the next build finishes, but I vaguely remember having a reason for not using PTYs.
