I figured it out. I need a codebaseGenerator to set the codebase 
attribute. It would be useful to add this to the warning in the 
Schedulers section 
<http://docs.buildbot.net/current/manual/cfg-schedulers.html#configuring-schedulers> 
about codebase acting as an implicit filter.
