[Buildbot-devel] Slave vs. Master versions

I'm running 0.8.3 on my master and about 4 slaves. We just got 7 new build farm machines. I'm planning to upgrade everything but don't have time right now, I just need to setup the new slaves. So, can I install the latest buildbot on the new machines? Will they work with an older master?
