I understand. Anyway, I was glad to see that you now support
authentication, which was something I had to fiddle in manually with the
version in 0.8.3.

I made sure I deleted the .pyc and double-checked that I had the patched
version in .bazaar/plugins, but I'm afraid it still fails with the exact
same error.
