[Buildbot-devel] BuildBot 0.8..2 status mail notifier encoding

Hi All,
the build service I am operating usually sends a mail notifier to
a project (topic-thread) at basecamp.com. Since 22 Nov it stopped
appearing.

Well after a bit of investigation it seems that the encoding in the
message from buildbot is "utf8". Basecamp were expecting "utf-8" so the
message was being junked. It also had a "spam pattern" as it (and three
other messages) are automatically generated daily at around 22:00 GMT

Anyway I let you know just in case no-one has seen it before or can
tell me it went away after 0.8.2. (status/mail.py: ENCODING = 'utf8')

37signals (basecamp operators) did a fix at their end so we left it at that.
