Thanks for your work!
But let me make a silly question: why don't we/you put the feature changes in 
a middle release (like 0.9.0) rather than 0.8.4->0.8.5 transitions?
Said that, I appreciate that 0.8 is a 'beta', "not 1.0" series that you 
wouldn't wish to maintain long. 
(or has somebody already asked that)

/me lists himself in the group of people that fetch every day and use 0.8.4 
branch

Please, consider the gitpoller enhancement (probably for 0.8.5 series or 
whatever) as in 1802e88cd7b07053b7 :

If you wish, I would pick it for your master and make a pull request.
