That sucks - I'd like to make testing the latest as easy as possible.

No - that would be a maintenance nightmare.

If you can make that work, I'll be happy to merge it.

Alternatively, I could set up a task in the metabuildbot to build
revision-stamped sdist's for every commit - would that help?
