That's definitely a good idea.

On a related topic, are there any patches waiting in the wings that I
should know about before I start banging out RC's?  I know I've been
lax in my maintainer duties lately.  I'll spend an evening or two this
week getting back on top of things, so I can get the release
candidates started this weekend.
