Hi Aaron. I created ticket 87 and some of the patches there. As far as  
I know no further work has been done on this concept, although I'm not  
a BuildBot insider.

We have updated most of the patches internally to run against 0.7.6.  
However, because we only use custom properties for "try" builds and  
the html module was heavily revised in 0.7.6 we haven't updated the  
code that let you use custom properties from the web interface.

I've attached our latest patches to the Trac ticket in case they're of  
help to you. If you happened to decide to update the web interface  
side I'm sure everyone would be very grateful :)
