[Buildbot-devel] "Stop Build" only stops current build step

I'm trying out the fix to ticket #126 (changeset 493) by backporting
the fix to my (slightly patched) 0.7.6 installation.  Superficially,
it works: the "Stop Build" button appears on the page for the builder.
 But hitting "Stop Build" only stops the currently running build step;
the slave marches pointlessly on to the next step in the builder.  So
I have to grovel around the web interface, stopping each successive
build step in turn until I have aborted the whole builder. How
annoying!

Is this intentional behaviour, or should I reopen ticket #126?
