Hi, would it be possible to add an env[] dictionary to the factory as well
as to the steps?

For example, in some cases you might want to do a build with many steps, all
sharing the same CPPFLAGS= environment.

Or in my case, I'm using Perforce and need the P4PORT, P4CLIENT and P4USER
environment variables to persist throughout all the steps, as some of them
do P4 operations after the initial sync.  We also have a root environment
variable 'TL' that is builder specific (it's the build directory), and it
would be nice to have that persistent throughout the build rather than
having to set it each step.
