With the changes from http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/forum.php?thread_id=10124271&forum_id=42369, it works too.

Why is it better to pass those options on the command line instead of via environment variables ?

I recently (april 7th) committed a patch from sf.net that replaced the P4USER environment variable with an explicit '-u' argument. Could you take a look at the latest CVS and see if it solves the problem correctly for you?
