I like the former process - have the build slave send artifacts back to
the master and then make them available to status clients (or the
requesting user in the case of 'try' builds).  That would give the
maximum amount of flexibility and allow for the release process to vary
idependently of the source (if desired).

Where you thinking of implementing this?
