Ah, yes. 0.6.6 behaves exactly as you said. 0.7.0 behaves exactly as I said
:). So upgrading will fix this problem. The change that fixes it went in
about two months ago (r1.69 of buildbot/process/step.py), far enough back
that I'd mistakenly assumed it was present in 0.6.6 too.
