Yeah. Packages are typically pretty well contained.. twisted installs into
/usr/lib/python2.3/site-packages/twisted, and then about half a dozen tools
into /usr/bin (like twistd and trial), and probably a man page for each tool.
The tools from 1.3 and 2.0 are probably identical.. they're written to put
all the functionality into a library, which lives in that
site-packages/twisted/ directory. So it should be sufficient to just blow
away the site-packages/twisted/ directory and then reinstall 1.3 .
That said, I like 2.0 a lot better, and I've gotten rid of most of the
DeprecationWarnings that you get when using 2.0 . If it only takes a few
hacks to make 2.0 work, I think it's worth the effort.
