 Right now in the [http://docs.buildbot.net/latest/manual/cfg-
 buildsteps.html#git Build Step docs] (particularly for git) it says:

 branch
 (optional): this specifies the name of the branch to use when a Build does
 not provide one of its own. If this this parameter is not specified, and
 the Build does not provide a branch, the default branch of the remote
 repository will be used.
 }}}

 Apparently, though, when used with a !GitPoller it doesn't use the
 *default* branch, it uses whatever branch triggered the change. This is
 not at all clear from the documentation.
