[users at bb.net] Compatibility between master and worker for versions 1 to 3

Hi,

Buildbot worker 1.x and newer is not compatible with buildbot master 0.8.

How is the compatibility between newer workers and masters?
In particular: is buildbot worker 3.x compatible with buildbot master
1.x or 2.x?

(I'm trying to decide which versions are worth shipping inside a
package manager. We'll keep providing the slave for 0.8 in any case,
I'm just not sure whether we need to provide one for 2.x or whether
just version 3.x is fully sufficient.)
