 ldaptor looks promising indeed.

We already have some ldap support in buildbot using ldap3 (
https://pypi.python.org/pypi/ldap3):
https://github.com/buildbot/buildbot/blob/master/master/buildbot/www/ldapuserinfo.py#L20

If ldaptor is stable on py3, I think it make sense to switch to that.
