Hi, welcome!  You're doing the right thing to get in early and help out..

We have a list of bugs that can probably be worked on quickly here:

Just at a guess, http://trac.buildbot.net/ticket/2138 might be an
interesting place to start.  http://trac.buildbot.net/ticket/3455 would
help our testing situation quite a bit.
http://trac.buildbot.net/ticket/3427 should be easy but seems to have been
forgotten.
