I have used a step with a shell (bash) script to do this.   Where the shell script follows the log until it sees a pass or fail message.  Then exits based on that state to fail or pass the step.

 Hi,

Is it possibile to set a step to follow log files I don’t know what the name of will be (or all files within a directory)?
For example, I would like to know if there were any crashes but the crash file name has a timestamp in it.
Alternatively, I’m OK following all files in a directory.

I’m guessing the answer is no but I figured I’d double-check before filing a trac.

Thanks,
Vitali
