[Buildbot-devel] slave configuration on SMP node

Hi,

if this is covered somewhere in the manual and I missed it, my apologies.

I am about to setup build slaves on an SMP machine. From my reading of
the manual it strikes me that I should install one slave per CPU core,
and then associate all the slaves to a builder. This way I hope to be
able to fully utilize all cores, i.e. get maximum throughput. I assume
that a slave once used by a builder is excluded from participating in
another builder until idle again. I am also assuming that my build
jobs are serial.

Is all that a sensible approach?
