'codebases' have been introduced to help those kind of setup where one
needs to handle multiple repositories. I highly suggest you reading
those sections of the doc.

Then, if those sounds too complicated for your setup (Please tell us
which part : we strive to improve the doc, especially in this area !
This needs to be simple ...), the 'Trigger' step accept a few
parameters that allow him to mess up with the sourcestamp of the
Triggered build. You probably want to use 'alwaysUseLatest'. But
please, consider using codebases first, that's what they are meant for.
