[Buildbot-devel] Buildbot 0.8.9 - SVN update stopped working

Hi Dustin,
unfortunately it seems that in the end the buildmaster 0.8.9 is able to drive only buildslaves with the same version.
I did some more test yesterday, and my idea that the issue might be Twisted version shown to be wrong : I updated manually a buildslave to 0.8.9 leaving Twisted to the previous version (I think it was 13.x)
the slave in now working correctly.
If you verify this is really the case, I would update the 0.8.9 release notes so that users are aware they would be forced to update all teh slaves too.

The Buildbot uprade seems a more likely culprit. I don't recall the
details of the Obfuscated changes -- we didn't intend to make them
non-compatible, but it's certainly possible.
