Agreed, this is a pretty common problem with Buildbot. Buildbot
started before the use-HTTP-for-everything trend. With HTTP, a
connection that's open and idle for more than a few seconds can be
safely dropped -- either the browser will reconnect, or the user will
just hit reload (I've had ops people tell me "sure it will break
connections but people will just hit reload".. grr).
