[Buildbot-devel] patches not applying in buildbot 0.8.8

I finally got around to switching over to the master-side repo step.
It seems not to support patching at all, though, since startVC()
doesn't do anything with the patch parameter, unlike the other Source
steps.  I'm just guessing, but was the intent there to avoid try
patches and instead send a list of CLs to repo download after the
sync?  Or just an oversight?
