That's part of the opportunity presented by Michael's work on the new
master/slave protocol.  With a better-defined protocol that is not
Python-specific, slaves can be written in any language and run on any
vaguely host-like platform (i.e., rPi easily, but probably not Arduino
since it lacks processes, files, and TCP/IP).
