[Buildbot-devel] Suggestions to group builders and avoid an overcrowded waterfall page?

We'll soon be at a point where we can start implementing these kind of
views in the nine web UI, meaning they'll be implemented in JS against
the Data API.

I'm excited to see so much discussion of the waterfall.  Please do
have a look at the Data API and the nine branch and think about how to
build a flexible view that contains the information you need.

If the result not waterfall-shaped, I'm OK with that.  The best I've
heard as far as reasons for waterfall's popularity is that it aligns
committers names with changes, and that it summarizes the latest
result and current status of each builder.  That's the leftmost column
and topmost row.  Nobody's ever spoken particularly fondly of the
stuff in the middle.

If it's waterfall-shaped, I'm OK with that too.  Give the people what
they want, even if you don't know why they want it, right?
