Hello Marc-Antoine,

thanks for sharing that information. It seems you are indeed solving a
very similar problem. I'll try to read the design docs you are pointing
to shortly.

I understand that the crowd-sourcing idea is pulling in a direction
that's somewhat orthogonal to buildbot. The reason I was considering /
proposing to add support for that to buildbot itself (as opposed to
think about a separate tool) is because I believe from an end-user's
perspective the use-cases aren't really all that different: A project
defines build logic, which is then executed in parallel in a distributed
environment.
In fact, I expect that most applications will use a hybrid model where
some builds are done with conventional connection-based slaves, while
some will be pulled from outside contributors. From that point of view
it really makes sense to combine these under a single tool.
