This is a pain-point for my organization too. I attempted set a particular poller for a category, which does work, but if you attempt to set to different pollers to a single repo so you can have different branches be assigned to different categories, buildbot throws a configuration error. I imagine I can configure this somehow, I just haven't taken the time to do it.
