The only way currently to control whether a provided patch is used in a
given source step is to use alwaysUseLatest, which completely ignores
the provided source stamp. I'm not sure if this will work for you, since
it will liklely checkout a version of trunk different that the version
of data. I don't know if this will cause issue. (It also can't be set
dynamically).

Buildbot 0.8.7 will have support to make working with multiple checkouts easier.
