[Buildbot-devel] fatal: index file smaller than expected

Hi,

I'm getting some errors in my  buildbot.steps.source.git.Git step. If
I'm reading the log properly get is exiting with an error in 'git
clean -f -d -x' with 'fatal: index file smaller than expected'. It
only happens on one HPC machine where the build dir is on a Lustre
file system, and it seems to happen every other update.  I'm updating
to the latest buildbot release anyway, so I would check to see if
anyone has seen this or has any suggestions. I'm thinking of switching
to the mode from 'fresh' to 'copy' after the update to see if that
happens to prevent the errors.  Here is a log file example in case
