I don't have any experience with apache, but seing the news about the
progress of the apache openoffice transtion leads me to believe that is
is much to heavyweight an organization for us.

Software in the Public Interest <http://www.spi-inc.org/membership/>
looks about as lightweight as sfc.

I don't have a strong opinion one way or the other, but I note that
twisted and pypy are both sfc projects.

Looking at the application information for sfc, the only non-trivial
question seems to be determination of project leadership; not the
current leadership (obviously), but how it is to be determined in the
future. (I don't think this is a big issue, just the only one requiring
some thought.
