[Buildbot-devel] How does the Console View really work?

I briefly touched on this issue in another thread, but the thread name
didn't seem relevant, so I figured that re-posting it with a better
description may help me. Also, I did get an answer, but I'm not sure
whether or not I understood it (perhaps asking my question differently
will help).

Here's our Console View:

Why doesn't the latest revision show up?

As of 2011-01-24 13:25 GMT, the latest revision displayed on the
console page is 878, but, on the builders page, the latest is 892.

I have been told that nightly builds don't show up on the console page
(unless I've misunderstood), but this can't be right, surely? We only
have nightly builds, so how did these revisions show up?
