This sounds like it might be workable, but I'm not sure I see why you
need to know the identity of the slave.  Why not just have N latent
slaves, with a latent slave implementation that, when asked to
instantiate a latent slave, runs a "job" consisting of calling
'buildslave create-slave' and 'buildslave start'.  Then it doesn't
matter which actual cluster machine that latent slave gets
instantiated on.
