Great!

I did add a fix for #816 which amounted to a nontrivial change, so on
the "better safe than sorry" plan, I've tagged rc3.  I'd like to keep
to the same schedule, but I'd also like to hear from one or two more
people before I cut the real release - hopefully at least one of those
will be testing rc3.
