Just to chime in, I added the 0.8.1 slave for Windows today as well (after a safety test with the 7.12 client against an 0.8.1 master).

I found that I couldn't run "buildslave" (really buildslave.bat) from the path <python-install-dir>\scripts where buildbot and buildbot.bat reside. I ran this to start the slave: "python c:\python2.6\scripts\buildslave start" and this worked. I have a test build running now.
