I really don't mind, I upstreamed the /json because some people thought it
could be useful to them. If some people starts to use it, cool but I made it
for me primarily. You shouldn't be afraid of deleting code. In any case,
it's in the VCS. Keeping backward compatibility is a huge cost.
I say "you" in the broad sense here as "anyone feeling empowered to do it".
