[Buildbot-devel] Has any work been started on a Jabber client for buildbot?

Wondering if anybody has started work on a jabber client for buildbot.  I see that this enhancement request has been filed:

We're interested in working on this for our team ( http://tamarin-builds.mozilla.org/tamarin-redux/waterfall ), but before I get started figured I'd see if I can build off of anybody else's work.
