Well, not until the bugs are fixed, and my time has been too thin
lately -- I have enough time to monitor the mailing list and
review/merge patches, but not to put serious work into the bugs
themselves.

If you're just looking at 'git log', then you can ignore those
commits, as they are just merges of other commits you'll see which
have more descriptive names.  You may want to add the --graph option,
which will show you an ASCII-art graph of the commit history.
