[Buildbot-devel] Release schedule for 0.7.x

For my part, I'm happy to be the *mechanism* for making 0.7.*
releases, but I don't want to be "the decider" - decisions as to when
a release should happen, what patches should be included, and so forth
are not my bag. The strategy with my branch (master at github) is
just to pull everything that I see that looks functional, without
reference to any grand plan for the application. At the moment, I
leave it to Brian to pull out patches he doesn't want in the release.

As for one-oh, "months" is probably optimistic unless others start
hacking on it, too. The current HEAD is "early alpha". It has a
decent amount of framework code in place, so that it can run and
record builds and steps. There's still a bunch of work to do in this
framework, but the larger amount of labor will come in
building/porting the buildbot.resources tree - this is where all of
the schedulers, source managers, steps, history managers,
load-balancing algorithms, slave protocols, etc., will live. I
haven't written any of these yet.

Please check out the wiki pages on
http://github.com/djmitche/buildbot/wikis - I'm keeping the "To Do
List" and "Current Status" updated to track my progress. Then either
fork the repo or email me to be listed as a collaborator on the
project (which will mean you can commit directly to the one-oh
branch).
