We hear this a lot.  The cause is simple: sourceforge's mailing list
implementation is terrible.  Sometimes they miss posts entirely, but
more often it takes a few days for a post to appear in the archives.

Sometimes I get the feeling that OSDN decided to open sourceforge with
an implicit promise that they will keep everyone's source code warm
and well-fed, but then never had the funding to buy more than a few
dozen machines.  Now they're constantly redlining their servers,
leaving everything from svn checkins to mailing list access running
far slower than anyone can imagine.

Anyway, you get what you pay for, so think of this as a comment on the
current status, rather than a complaint. :)
