Knowing myself, I probably tried that before sending the post, and failed for 
some reason.


Trying again:

Euh, you are right, it works.

What confused me was the pop-up for a username and passwd to log in after 
pushing the 'create account' button without confirmation that the account was 
created.

I assumed that Buildbot Trac was configured that only certain users could 
create accounts (ie the popup was for authorizing creation of the account).
At that point, I aborted the attempt the previous time.

With your statement in mind, this time, I went ahead and filled in my own 
username/pwd, and indeed it works. It appears that the popup was for me 
logging in.

Thanks for clearing that up.
I am not sure how to make the procedure more clear other than by modifying 
Trac itself.
