I think that testing build results would be best done from a test step.

I have some ideas:

Allowing buildbot to manage several sources that may or may not be in  
the same VCS repository (so that buildbot doesn't trigger all builders  
when only a subset of builders need be triggered).
	
Adding asynchronous updating of the waterfall page via AJAX.

Creating some way to zoom to the failed test in the test log.  I'm  
about to write an html resource that filters test output to do  
something like this.

Creating some way to persistently store and display performance-test  
data.
