Yes, I tried this too before traversing the path I (eventually) took.
It also produced python errors on svn checkout.  I don't recall the
exact issue.  As I said, I have no confidence that this is the right
fix.  I hoped the author would be able to provide guidance toward the
proper fix -- hopefully a simple configuration tweak.

This is not a subtle problem, the issue is that the most simple (to me)
configuration for building the trunk on each checkin doesn't work for me
without code changes.  I find this hard to believe given the long list
of satisfied customers.  I must be doing something wrong.

Suggestions?
