[Buildbot-devel] Configuring buildbot

Well, I've gotten a lot farther with my preliminary buildbot setup, or so I 
think.  I'm using a master and slave on a single machine to perform initial 
tests.

The master is running and appears to be happy; the Web interface works as 
expected.  It shows that the slave is connected, and the slave's log shows 
that it is attached to the master.  I can tell the master to ping the slave, 
and the slave's log shows it gets the ping.

There's nothing to indicate that it *responds* to the ping, however, and the 
master's web display says the ping failed.

How should I proceed to diagnose this?
